It’s subtle and you can totally build with it but the main thing I love is I can have beautifully defined and noticeable cheeks without having to rely on pink or peach.
The highlight and contour defining the apple of my cheek below is all thanks to Trace Gold, it achieves both effects for me.
MAC HARMONY CONTOUR POWDER SKIN
On deeper skin it would make an ABSOLUTELY gorgeous highlighter or give that awesome beach-y glow.Īll I know is when I brushed this blush powder of awesome across my cheeks yesterday I was sold, well not till I got to MOA today to get the very last one because this and Harmony, which Mom wanted, were sold out in Rockwell and everywhere else (but I heard there’s one very last Trace Gold left in Shangrila Mall, *holds stopwatch, cocks pistol*). Do you see anything? Well as long as you can tell that my cheeks aren’t “BLANK” or pale, they’ve got that hint of sunny warmth, that’s what I’m talking about. It’s warm but not overly so, and it would be more noticeable as a glowy blush I think on someone paler than me.

Read more to get the full post and see me wearing my new MAC Trace Gold blush! It defines cheekbones or cheeks wherever you apply it and the sheen gives the illusion of highlight AND contour in just one product and that hint of color when properly placed is GORJ. I’ll admit Trace Gold’s loveliness was quite hard to photograph on myself during the day, but I promise you in person it is noticeable and does make a difference. I love that even if this is dubbed a Sheertone Shimmer it doesn’t mean having glitter vomit on your face. I’m still arguing in my head as to whether MAC Sheertone Shimmer Trace Gold is a blush, bronzer, highlighter or all these lovely things rolled into one simple, subtle, but swoon-worthy product. In fact, it’s a 90s earthy color and *oh-my-gasp* it’s shimmery (signboards go up “Julia, you bought a bronzer”). VNA Rating: 4.5/5 (-0.So my first MAC blush isn’t your garden variety flush sort of blush. Price: Rs.1500 (alright so MAC has been crazily hiking their price) I would suggest to use Blunt by MAC if you are quite dark. Might not work as a contour for extremely dark skin tones.Might not look that attractive as a blush for extremely pale skin tones. But as I said earlier this is value for money. PRICEY as MAC prices are rising extensively.Things that shock about MAC Harmony Blush: Available in refill form as well and that is actually cheaper than the single pot packaging.I’ve personally worn it for about 10 hours on my sister’s wedding and it stayed on pretty well. Stays on really nicely on my combination skin. Works well with almost all Indian skin tones.
Multi-functional product, could be used as a blush, bronzer and contour according to your skin tones.Things that rock about MAC Harmony Blush: I did this look for the contouring and highlighting tutorial where you can see more FOTDs of me wearing it. It doesn’t have any shimmer in it. I’ve seen so many girls with different skin colors using it and it looks absolutely gorgeous. This is said to be the best blush by MAC for bronzing and contouring purposes because of its soft matte powder finish. For the lighter girls you can use it as a bronzer or even a contouring powder which is how I love it the most. It can work as a warm blush for medium to dark Indian skin tones. MAC Harmony is a subtle beige brown shade. If you have a Z palette then the refills are a good option because that way you can have your own customized palette. It comes both in this original packaging with a case as well as a refill pan. The case h as a mirror lid for easy identification. The lid is not at all flimsy and shuts with a ‘tick’ sound. Packaging: It has the standard black MAC packaging, which is quite travel friendly.
MAC claims : MAC describes it as a ‘muted rose-beige brown’ which is completely matte.
